Andrew Nelson Lytle (Dec. 26, 1902-Dec. 12, 1995) was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and graduated from Vanderbilt University. He was a novelist, dramatist, essayist, and professor of literature. As a member of the Agrarians, he contributed a chapter to that group's manifesto, I'll take my stand. He taught at the University of the South and edited the Sewanee review.
